About Avery Parker

Avery Parker

TMS Coordinator

I am the TMS Coordinator. I grew up in San Diego and I am currently (remotely) finishing up a B.S. in Business Operations Management at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I am a strong believer in the benefits of TMS and love watching patients progress throughout their treatments. There is nothing better than being by someone’s side as they come out of their depression and start to laugh again! In my free time I enjoy rock climbing, creative writing, and studying history. Because of my learning and experience in this office I am considering a future in psychiatry.

Roxy Mirfakhrai

TMS Treater/Medical Administrator

I’m currently going to school at Mesa/Miramar College working on my prerequisites to become a nurse. I enjoy working at Dr. Hubbard’s office. We get great feedback from patients and it means a lot to all of us. I am glad I get the opportunity to help patients every day. As a treater I learn so much from my patients and we laugh together. Outside of school and work I like to go out with my dog Obi.

Ray Novencito

TMS Technician

I am a recent graduate from UCSD with a degree in Physiology and Neuroscience. I initially had plans to become a Physical Therapist but have become more and more interested in pursuing a career as a Nurse Practitioner because of the experience I have had working at this clinic. Outside of work, I enjoy playing video games and being with friends. I am extremely happy to be a member of this team and part of the patients’ journeys.

I grew up in San Diego and received my B.S. in Business Operations Management at the University of Colorado, Boulder. I’ve worked with Dr. Hubbard’s office since 2017, and I’ve been managing the TMS program since 2020. Through the years with Dr. Hubbard’s office, I’ve enjoyed the incredible opportunity of being mentored by Dr. Hubbard, Dr. Wycoff, and Rizwan Khan. I am a passionate believer in the benefits of TMS and continue to be impressed by the profound changes I see in our patients every day. There’s nothing more meaningful than being by someone’s side as their depression lifts and they begin to laugh again! In my free time I enjoy rock climbing, creative writing, and studying neurochemistry. Because of my learning and experience in this office I plan to receive my M.D. to continue advancing TMS research and caring for patients as a psychiatrist.

I am a recent graduate from USD with a degree in Biochemistry and minors in Biology and Philosophy. I love working as a medical admin assistant/TMS technician because it’s a great opportunity to work directly with patients and assist them in any way that I can. I am so grateful to be a part of such a genuinely warm, supportive, and friendly team. In my free time I like to read books, go to concerts, and hang out with friends!

Jackie Nguyen

I am currently working as a medical administrative assistant and TMS Technician. I am a recent graduate at UCSD that majored in Human Health Psychology. My passion for medicine and the mental health field has led me here and I am so grateful to be a part of a team that is so patient centered and genuinely passionate about what they do. I truly enjoy talking to patients and helping them throughout their mental health journey. My goal is to one day become a physician, working with various patient populations and backgrounds. In my spare time, my hobbies include cooking, reading, and enjoying the outdoors.

Hello! My name is Sandra and I graduated from UC San Diego in 2020 majoring in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience. Throughout my undergraduate and my research, I become more and more passionate about psychology. I am happy that I get to work at a psychiatric office helping patients anyway I can. Seeing patients truly get better through the care of our office has inspired me to become a physician. In my spare time, I love to cook new recipes and work out in the gym!

Keoni Butler

Hi! My name is Keoni, and I am a medical administrative assistant and TMS technician at Bruce Hubbard, MD. I graduated from the University of California, San Diego in June of 2021 with my B.S. in Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience. Ever since I started my clinical experience with this practice in 2018, I have had a great interest in TMS and its therapeutic effects. From 2021 – 2022, I worked as a study coordinator at the Stanford-VA Aging Clinical Research Center researching TMS’ effects on memory. Since my return to this practice, I have enjoyed working with patients and getting to know them as they navigate through life’s complexities. In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball and other games with friends, spending time with family, and trying out new foods/restaurants.

Lis Hinojosa

Hi my name is Lis! I’ve been with the practice for the past 4 years as a TMS technician and medical administrative assistant. Working here has been absolutely life changing. I’ve gotten a chance to meet some really amazing people and seeing first hand what TMS has done for patients, is truly rewarding. I hope to one day pursue a career in the medical field to continue helping people. In my free time, I enjoy going to the movies, gardening, being out in nature, and spending time with my loved ones!

I am so excited to be working in the field of mental health, as it has always been an interest and passion of mine. It means the world to me to be a part of patients’ healing journies. I doubt there are too many things more rewarding than getting people the help they need!  I am considering going back to school to learn more about psychology. In my free time I like to make music, art, and hang out with my friends.

I am a medical administrative assistant and a TMS technician who attended UC Santa Cruz and UC San Diego, graduating with a B.S. in Human Biology. Working within the field of psychiatry has been beyond rewarding. It has been fulfilling not only to assist patients with their medical-related needs, but more importantly, getting to know about their lives and connecting with them on a more personal level. I am excited to continue meeting more people and helping out in any way I can! In my free time I enjoy exploring different restaurants, hiking, playing sports, playing music, and spending time with family and friends.

Hello! My name is Danyel. I grew up in Sacramento, California but moved to San Diego back in 2018 for college. I graduated from UC San Diego in 2022 where I majored in General Biology. Towards the end of college education, I became fascinated by the world of neuroscience, psychology, and the squishy organs that make me, me. I am grateful to be working at this practice where I can help patients with their mental health everyday and see their growth from start to finish. I intend to pursue a career in the medical field as a nurse one day! In general, I love music, movies, trying new things, and spending time with the people that I love.

I am an administrative assistant who excited to be a TMS treater. I studied two years at UC Davis before taking a break to try to discover what it is I was passionate about. I am very glad I was able to start working here as helping patients has made me realize how much I enjoy learning about mental health as well as seeing people get better! I am quite social and outgoing, but I can be a great listener for those who need to talk. I hope that those traits can put a smile on those around me!

Hi! My name is Miggy, I am a medical and administrative assistant and TMS technician here at the office. I graduated from UC San Diego with a degree in Human Biology, and hope to be a doctor in the future. During my time here, I have had the pleasure of interacting with many patients at the office, and have been able to see the positive impact TMS has had in their lives. The opportunity of being able to play a role in assisting patients with their mental health needs has been extremely fulfilling and inspiring. Hello everyone, my name is Nicole Hui and it’s a pleasure to have you here at our office! I am a graduate of UC San Diego’s Global Health Program, and actively pursuing a career as a primary care physician. Each day at the clinic introduces me to new faces and stories, and I enjoy assisting our patients and their loved ones on their well-being journey. In May of 2022 I graduated from the University of San Diego with a B.A. in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. Throughout my time here as a Medical Administrative Assistant, I have had the pleasure of seeing our patients transform into the best version of themselves which is quite rewarding to see! Everyday in the office is something new, and I am glad I can be a part of our patients’ mental health journeys. In my free time, I enjoy exploring hiking trails around San Diego County, as well as spending time with family and friends.

Hi everyone! My name is Dan, and I am a medical administrative assistant/TMS Technician at Bruce Hubbard, MD. I am also currently studying Human Biology at UCSD, and I hope to pursue medicine in the future. I really enjoy working here at the office because everyone is so welcoming and passionate about what they do. I truly enjoy helping patients, especially helping those who can’t help themselves. Outside of school and work, I spend most of my time paddling at mission bay and going to the gym.

My years in research in neuroscience and my passion for medicine has led me to be part this amazing team! Working here not only allowed me to be able to support patients through their mental health journey, it opened new doors to make personal connections as well. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy going to the beach, binging TV shows, swimming, thrifting, and spending time with friends!
